Unusual Aspects – Our client wanted her space to portray a sense of professionalism with a hint of European Classic style. The space is an office where the client can work at home, read, and relax. The request was for the space to look clean, and elegant. We didn’t want to overwhelm the space with too many details; we came up with a look where there are minimal details however, a sense of classicism. We added detail and decorative moldings all over our client’s wall, doorway, and window. These moldings are the main feature and design process of the space – it illustrates the European classicism style. They highlight the certain area or unit in the space, such as the lights, windows, doorway, and fireplace.
As a major focal point we designed her fireplace and included storage for her resources and products. There’s a visible book shelf covered with mesh doors, and hidden storage behind doors below the book shelf. On the right side of the fireplace wall we hidden her office equipment; printer, filing cabinet, this was a way for her space to have a clean appearance and not a sense of clutter.
