What materials/species were used in this project/item?
I used rustic hickory wood, maple melamine, KV undermount, soft-closing slides, Blum soft-closing, adjustable hinges, Titebond wood glue, Wilson-Art laminate, glass, Ace Shaker Pine stain, and Minwax water-based finish. I used xenon under-cabinet lighting.
Describe, in detail, the project/item’s construction.I used my Grizzly table saw, planer, shaper, and jointer, as well as a DeWalt chop saw, Porter Cable routers, and Festool sanders.
There were no unusual obstacles with this job.
What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry?
The grain is beautifully matched and lined up within the stiles and rails, leading the eye throughout the kitchen. It has great composition. The beautiful and rustic hickory goes nicely in this house, as the owners paid great attention to detail.

I built everything in my shop, except for the hardware and lighting.
How being a member of the CMA has benefited you and/or your business.
We have not only enjoyed getting to know other members, but we also have had wonderful advertising as a result of the CMA Wood Diamond contests. It was great meeting other members in Atlanta at the IWF, too!
