Describe, in detail, the project/item's construction
The homeowners partnered with The Artisan Shop to complete the cabinetry in their whole custom home. For their Master Bathroom, they wanted to achieve a look of “rustic elegance.” We worked together exchanging images that they liked in magazines and online. The cabinetry in this room was somewhat inspired by a vintage furniture style which included arched raised panel valances, arched toe kick details, hardwood bunn feet and glass doors with wood mullions. We integrated low voltage LED lighting into the upper cabinets, and the his & hers appliance garages. The center tower uses rack and pinion doors to reveal a built-in TV which can be viewed while at the sinks or from the adjacent free standing tub. One of my favorite features is the change in depth of the base cabinets and upper valances. This simple design detail adds a level of interest and sophistication to the room.
What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry?
How well the cabinetry fits with the vaulted ceilings; the height and width of the double vanity cabinetry fills the space without feeling heavy or confining.
