Describe the project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
When this client called to do their third home with us, we knew we had to impress. This custom kitchen project was part of a major remodel to an existing home, and additionally includes a built-in window bench seat and bookcase. These face frame inset cabinets are constructed of natural alder, while the hood was constructed of 10-gauge sheet metal. The unique custom metal hood provides the unexpected wow factor to this kitchen. The hood is powder coated white, with stainless steel accents for style. The perimeter cabinets are finished in white Sherwin Williams conversion varnish, with a hand-rubbed light grey glaze. The island is finished with a hand-wiped deep brown stain and topped with a hand-rubbed black glaze.
