Category – Bookcase Face Frame Under $25K
Project Description – The bookcase was designed in eCabinets, and cut using a Thermwood router. The face frame construction utilized pocket-hole joinery, and was joined to the carcass using blind dadoes. The finish was sprayed on with a Fuji HVLP Q3 system. The installation included cutting into an existing hand rail and mounting said hand rail into the face frame of the bookcase. This project involved a very important learning experience: Make sure the final sheen is what the customer is expecting. Unusual Aspects – The most outstanding characteristic of this project is the incorporation of the existing handrail into the bookcase. This detail makes the bookcase look like it was designed and built into the space it occupies.
