The Mills Group (Minesing, ON)
Category – Kitchen European Under $25K
Project Description – Typical framelss construction, assembled with staples and screws. Cabinets made with 5/8” plant on backs. Parts cut on SCM slider, Banded with SCM edgebander, Boring done with a Ritter line boring machine and hinges bored on a Blum minipress. Finish was applied with a CAT bobcat AAA pump. Unusual Aspects – I really liked the finish and the way it contrasts with the lumicor panels. Species is rift sawn Walnut and it was first dyed with a Black NGR, then followed with a Dark Walnut Wiping stain and topcoated with a 10 degree conversion varnish. This sort of matte black really creates a subtle backdrop to the stainless steel, lumicor, and surroundings. Kitchen cabinets were installed for $18500. The really high end appliances they added sure help with the look too. Why I like the CMA – It has allowed us to network and learn from reputable shops and have easy access to peers to bounce ideas off, ask questions, and support. |
