Counterpoint Cabinetry (Wilmette, IL)
Category – Kitchen Face Frame Over $25K
Project Description – Sheet material processing was done on a beam saw. Cabinet construction was done by hand. Cabinets are face frame construction and the wood processing was done with a gang rip saw and a Weinig molder. All finishing was handled in house. Unusual Aspects – The overall size and arrangement of the kitchen made the working area highly functional, and the peninsula created a nice way to separate the kitchen from the breakfast area while still keeping a very open feel. The breakfast area with its desk served as a gathering place for the family. Incorporated into the kitchen cabinets are a number of hidden niches for items like a fire extinguisher, and spices and oils. Why I like the CMA – The information shared through the website and through networking is invaluable. |
