Main Category: Kitchen
Sub Category: European Dollar Amount: Over $25,000 What materials/species were used in this project/item? This beautiful kitchen is a two toned Painted. The perimeter is Sherwin Williams Glass of Milk and the island is Sherwin Williams Earl Grey. We used maple fibercore for the cabinet construction and maple solid for the door construction. The doors are a mitered raised panel with 3” style and rails. The drawers have a combination of mitered with raised panels and inverted panels. There is also raised panel ends on all exposed areas. The drawer boxes are made out of baltic birch with soft close Grass tracks and the hinges are Salice soft close. We used an Aventos Lift up door kit to cover the microwave on the island. All the glass is clear. Rev-a-shelf products that were used are Blumotion Double Garbage, Soft Close Base Pull Out, Wood 32” Lazy Susan Set, and U-shape Tray Dividers. Amerock Westerly Collection was chosen for the cabinet hardware, and five different sizes were used throughout the space. We also paneled the dishwasher front by using the same style of cabinet door. Describe, in detail, the project/item’s construction. Cabinet Vision software was used for design and production prep. All of the material parts for this project were cut on a Weeke CNC Router and banded on an SCM Olympic Edgebander. A team of builders then assembled the cabinets before they moved on to be painted and finished. The finish we use is a Gemini Conversion varnish and the technique is done by using a Grayco air-assisted sprayer. What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry? The most unique characteristic of this kitchen is the amount of variation there is with open cabinets, closed cabinets and glass cabinets for display space. The hidden microwave in the island and the oversized decorative hood really complete the entire look of this project. The office nook is also a perfect addition to add organization and style to this one-of-a-kind kitchen. The space truly offers a unique, clean and elegant look. List any items that were outsourced.
