What materials/species were used in this project/item?
project included a variety of different materials, used together to create a basement space that allowed for many different functions. All of the wood parts were cherry veneer and solid wood. There was custom upholstery work involved in the project, and the sliding door center panels were an acrylic material. The table was a stone top with a metal base.

Describe, in detail, the project/item’s construction.
The sliding doors were custom made with our shops pressing equipment. We incorporated the acrylic center panels into the construction and then applied the decorative details to the face. The bench and all of the wall millwork was shop fabricated to fit the field templates that we created, to match the angled walls. The upholstered seat backs and the upholstered wall panels were all custom made to fit the Cherry millwork pieces created from those templates. All of the work centered around the stone top and its metal base.

What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry?
This project had a number of different goals that included the use of a number of different materials. The first goal involved separating one area from the rest of the basement which was accomplished with the sliding door feature. The other goal was to create a comfortable restaurant style, booth seating area. The project reached its goals to everyone’s complete satisfaction.

List any items that were outsourced.
All millwork items were produced in house using local distributors for in stock materials. The acrylic door panels were a Lumacite material and the upholstery work was provided by Lepley Upholstery. The fabrics were provided by the customer.
