When one of our commercial clients on the North Shore of Boston expanded offices to Florida in 2007, we were contracted to fabricate, finish and install their Corporate Office furnishings and built-ins. Since that time we have performed comparable work on numerous occasions as this client continues to expand their offices. Our most recent project was completed in March, 2016 for the new headquarters in Florida for all of the corporate office furnishings and built-ins in the 20,000 square foot space. Our challenges included procuring the proper materials, templating, fabricating and finishing in our Cabinet Shop near Boston and then carefully packing a 53 foot tractor trailer truck and shipping to Florida. 6 men were sent over a 4 week period of installation to meet our client’s desired occupancy date. Over 45 pieces were completed for this project including conference tables, desks, credenzas, and workstations. How has being a member of the CMA benefited you and/or your business? Our team benefits from the up-to-date and useful information obtained through the CMA training sessions, newsletters and by associating with other professional cabinetmakers and their peers. The access to other’s information, points of view and suggestions through forums and classes has been an exceptional resource. The Cabinet Makers Association consistently challenges its members to participate in marketing, education and training. These benefits, plus our previous winning entries in the Wood Diamond Award program provide credibility to our craft in this, our 30th year in business. List any items that were outsourced.
