Briefly describe your business and the type of products manufactured.
We manufacture a wide variety of products. Our main business is custom exclusive kitchens. Since we work with local home-builders, we also manufacture custom vanities, wall units, mud rooms, wine rooms, bars and mill-work. Our goal is to make each project unique and satisfy our customers with the service beyond their expectations
What materials/species were used in this project/item?
Exterior finish was MDF painted semi-gloss finish. We construct our cabinet boxes from 3/4″ Maple Plywood which we purchase prefinished from McFeddens Inc. in Toronto, Ontario. Our cabinet backs are 3/4″ Maple Plywood, also prefinished. At exposed cabinet surfaces we utilize 3/4″ Maple Veneer plywood for case construction. We use Blumotion undermount full extension drawer slides and Blum European Compact hinges with Blumotion. Install various cabinet inserts provided by McFeddens Inc & Richelieu. Dovetail Drawer boxes are supplied by Atlantic Doors Inc.
Describe, in detail, the project/item's construction
We used 7/8" MDF Plum Creek for all painted doors, panels and fillers.
Solid maple for moldings and baseboards
3/4" Prefinished Formaldehyde-Free Plywood
What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry?
White & Bright open concept glass kitchen. To keep design bright and open we used a lot of glass & open shelves. Doors where kept simple clean shaker with small inside beat. However, a lot of details were added to decorative furniture baseboards. Clients did not like too much stainless steel which is why all the appliances where paneled and fully integrated. For functionality and easy access base cabinets where mostly drawers. Base corner cabinet had Magic Corner mechanics for easy access. Clients really like the hood going to the counter-top. Hood posts where recessed to better flow around cooking area. The last think you need in your kitchen is the hood being too closed in and not functional. Here we kept it nice and open still giving the hood that grand look. Island cabinets where made out of walnut and stained lighter to show woods beautiful grain. Also throughout the kitchen there is pull out spice racks, towel racks, appliance lift up and more.
