Our cabinet backs are 3/4″ Maple Melamine. At exposed cabinet surfaces, we utilise 3/4″ finished panels. We use Blumotion under-mount full extension drawer slides and Blum European Compact hinges with Blumotion. Install various cabinet inserts provided by McFeddens Inc & Richelieu. Dovetail Drawer boxes are supplied by Atlantic Doors Inc. Describe, in detail, the project/item's construction We used 3/4" MDF Plum Creek for all painted doors, panels and fillers. 3/4" Maple Melamine Interior for all the cabinets. What is the most unusual aspect or outstanding characteristic of this entry? Island was the focal point of this kitchen. Our clients Vova & Julia they love entertaining and they wanted to have an island big enough to fit as many friends and family as possible. For that reason, we made the countertop overhang on 3 sides. To bring more attention to the island we used glass inserted panels with LED lights. It was a real challenge for production to make everything work. We provided access to LED and glass by making cabinets with an access panel on the back. Matching sandblasted glass was used above the sink and in the end pantry cabinet. Glass door where made with 3 side rail to show more glass and make it stand out. Also to add interest we used a light grey high gloss mixed with a white high gloss which added a nice design element to the overall look. After the kitchen was installed there were a lot of positive feedback from family and friends. Especially kids who could not stop playing with colourful LED lights built into the island.
