CVR Colorado is a small custom cabinet shop located in Loveland, Colorado. Jim & Tracey, the owners, handle the business and design while 5 talented and dedicated woodworkers make sawdust in the shop. We do most of our own installs to keep quality control of the projects. Very little is outsourced while creating a wide variety of quality residential cabinetry and millwork.
Main Category: Residential Sub Category: Kitchen - Frameless Project Value: Under $25,000 Describe the project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics. This kitchen was a remodel of a small U kitchen. They were restricted in size by the existing condo layout, but wanted to create a fun rustic space that had all the modern conveniences. We chose to use locally cut Beetle Kill Pine that we dried and did extensive brush sanding on. The finish was achieved by a multi-step sealing and glazing process to highlight the raw beauty of the pine while not darkening it too much. Raw corrugated steel inserts were cut and fit into the custom doors. The steel was painted with a textured finish to give it a slightly industrial rustic feel while making it cleanable at the same time. The solid maple English dovetail drawers were individually lit when opened with integrated low voltage LED lighting. Hafele LOOX lighting was also used to light the undercabinet space and the Toekick areas. Blum Aventos HF lifts were featured in the upper cabinets. Rev-a-Shelf Cloud pullouts filled both blind corner cabinets and a Rev-a-Shelf/Blum Servo Drive Pullouts were on both sides of the farm sink for trash and recycling. The brick tile and industrial kitchen faucet rounded out the rustic modern design. List any items that were outsourced. |
