Jim & Tracey, the owners, handle the business and design while 5 talented and dedicated woodworkers make sawdust in the shop. They do most of our own installs to keep quality control of the projects. Very little is outsourced while creating a wide variety of quality residential cabinetry and millwork. James has been a member of the Cabinet Makers Association for many years. Describe the project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics. This Entertainment Center was designed and built for Maybell. She selected Rustic Knotty Alder wood finished with a Spice Stain and a Black Glaze. Maybell had a A/V system that had 6 speakers, components and a 75” Flat Screen that had to be incorporated into the design. She wanted to have some space for accessories and décor to display. She also wanted to have space to decorate at Christmas with her collection of snowmen from all over the world. Each display opening was individually lit with a Hafele LOOX low voltage recessed puck lights controlled with a hand held remote control. The construction was 10 frameless cabinet boxes of black melamine surrounded by applied veneer and solid wood panels and detail parts. Features include; 1” metal wire mesh door panels painted with hammered black enamel covering closed sections for the center channel speakers, subwoofers and tall main speakers, Birch drawer boxes with Blum Tandem undermount guides with soft close, Blum soft close hinges and Jeffery Alexander decorative hardware. The finished unit was 11’ long and stood nearly 8’ high. The top was completely finished as it was viewed from a loft above. Maybell was happy with the finished project!
