Alphacam was recently featured at a showroom grand opening for Ultimate Manufacturing Technologies, a company based in Tempe, Ariz., that specializes in matching customers with the ideal machinery for their wood, plastics, metal, composites and other manufacturing needs.
The educational event, which took place Oct. 28, highlighted cutting-edge woodworking technologies and processes, including part design and toolpath automation, 3D carving and furniture applications, advanced nested features, and advancements in panel-processing.
“We demonstrated how to machine compelling 3D carvings, advanced nesting techniques, and part-holding strategies with pods, clamps, dedicated fixtures and vacuums,” said Perry Boyett, sales and services manager for Alphacam. “We also discussed proper tool selection based on materials and application.”
Software engineers were on site throughout the day to answer participant questions and to demonstrate how to best utilize the latest advancements.
