Multi-Mode Sanders Provide Superior, Time-saving, Surface Preparation
Festool USA recently introduced its award-winning line of multi-mode, Rotex sanders to professional painters. Widely known as the multi-mode sander of choice among remodelers, cabinetmakers, furniture makers and a broad variety of other professional users, professional painters are now just becoming aware of the benefits of using a Rotex sander, for everything from heavy stock or old surface removal and orbital sanding, to polishing.
“With Rotex, paint professionals are now just discovering the many benefits that other professionals have known and enjoyed for several years now,” says Steve Rangoussis, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Festool USA. “When it comes to surface preparation, whether exterior or interior, our Rotex sander line helps painters get the job done much faster and with better results, which saves them money and helps them earn more per job.” Rangoussis ends with, “We’re making it a priority that painting contractors are able to learn about the many cost-saving benefits of our tools.”
Each sander in Festool’s Rotex line has dual modes: a gear-driven aggressive rotary mode for rapid stock removal or polishing and a random orbital mode designed for finish or detail sanding. The Rotex line of multi-mode sanders also provides virtually dust-free performance* and includes the following models:
Rotex RO 150 FEQ – 720 Watts of power, a 6” FastFix tool-free pad changing system and a 5 lb. frame with minimal vibration and superior ergonomics. The Rotex RO 150 includes a Multi-Jetstream dust extraction design that delivers highly efficient dust removal, resulting in cleaner air, better finishes, and longer abrasive and pad life. The gear box is completely enclosed and impervious to dust, making the RO 150 extremely reliable, even in the most demanding environments.
Rotex RO 125 FEQ – 500 watts of power, a 5” FastFix, tool-free pad changing system, the Rotex RO 125 weighs in at just 4.4 lb. with minimal vibration and superior ergonomics. The RO 125 also includes Jetstream dust extraction design. This is a compact, yet extremely powerful, multi-mode sander.
Rotex RO 90 DX – The newest addition to the Rotex family, the RO 90 multi-mode sander allows users to switch from a circular pad to a delta-shaped pad - in seconds - with no tools required. All three Rotex sanders have easy-to-select mode settings (rotary and random orbital) that enable them to be used for aggressive and fine sanding, and polishing. The new RO 90 adds yet another mode that transforms the sander into a delta-shape, allowing it to reach deep into corners and crevices. Possibly the most versatile sander on the market today, the RO 90 has 400 watts of power, and weighs in at just 3.3lbs.
The Festool Rotex Line of sanders is well-suited for professional painters, whether they do exterior or interior work. To find out more about all of the Festool products for painters, go to http://festoolpaint.com/
