This futuristic galley-type kitchen was created for a professional chef and the couples love of art, specifically their bold statement pieces - enabled us to have fun and freedom when creating this for entertaining. Maintaining NKBA standards in a WWII renovation, and using 21st century integrated appliances, is extremely challenging and VERY rewarding. The ceiling was wavy and sloping, and of course the floor had it's own attitude. Most walls came down, except for a very lonely support post that had to remain. Where do we start? We surrounded this support-post with walnut and created a wet-bar area for convenience and access to a quick cocktail! On the working side there is a x-series full size pull-out pantry, fridge/freezer, speed oven, microwave, working oven, induction cooktop, paneled dishwaser and nineteen 24" push2open w/ soft close drawers, roll-out appliance garage, and custom interior drawer inserts. This is all accomplished while keeping the chef's triangle under 11' total.
