Based in Berryville, VA., Castleman Carpentry is a family-owned custom wood working cabinet shop and class A general carpenter. We specialize in total transformations in any room of a client's house through thoughtful and careful design. All aspects of our projects are managed directly by the owners. From initial consultation, through design and material selection, cabinet fabrications and project execution; they are directly involved with their client's ensuring the best remodeling experience for their customers. Their wood working shop creates truly “Custom” cabinetry. We take wood, sourced both locally and globally, and we turn it into beautiful cabinet & millwork projects. They fabricate all of their cabinet boxes, face frames, doors, drawer boxes and fronts, moldings and trim.
 
Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
Our client wanted his basement bar "man cave" to be family friendly, comfortable and welcoming for all the ages in his growing family. This rec room complete with all the fun toys, home theatre and full sports bar will keep everyone occupied and happy in this space. The homeowner selected rustic cherry cabinetry - hand distressed and glazed for its warmth and traditional beauty. The bar was a challenge to design, given the small space and the shear number of required appliances and features. We managed to incorporate everything even the speakers found their place in the millwork. The theatre can't be missed with its custom millwork insignia. The open back display cabinet gave the homeowner the perfect spot to showcase his liquor collection against the beautiful stacked stone. Wainscot and a durable foot rail completed the bar. The theatre itself boasted a cheerful red media and snack cabinetry. The exit is clearly marked (should you get lost in the movie).
