Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
This exceptional new build was a true pleasure to design and construct for a delightful couple. Originally intended as a vacation home, the project evolved into a full-time residence as it neared completion. This marked the third home the couple had built, and for this iteration, they desired a modern design aesthetic. For the interior, the couple requested frame less cabinetry with flat-panel doors, which we enhanced with a custom tint and ebony stain to achieve a sophisticated, dark finish. A standout feature between the main kitchen and prep kitchen is a large sliding door, allowing the homeowner to engage with her husband while preparing meals and enjoy the breathtaking lake view. The Cambria countertops gracefully waterfall down the island's edge, while the raised bar top, crafted from stained maple, introduces contrast and depth to the space. Additionally, we custom-designed a striking cloud feature that descends from the ceiling to house the electrical components for the light fixtures. The kitchen design incorporates several high-end appliances, seamlessly integrated with applied doors and a flush-mount installation. To balance the expansive cabinetry, we created a custom metal laminate hood above the range. Other thoughtful storage solutions include pull-out trash bins, a spice pull-out, and a tray divider pull-out. The overall design blends modern and traditional elements, uniting the clean lines and simplicity of modern design with the warmth and elegance of traditional touches.
