2025 Wood Diamond Award Bathroom: Face Frame Over $10,000 Gillpatrick Woodworks First Place

Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

For this project, we were tasked with creating a primary suite that felt cohesive while offering two distinct looks for the “his” and “her” bathrooms. We achieved this by using inset cabinetry in both spaces and designing custom paneling to wrap around each bathtub. To give each bath its own identity, we chose different finishes and hardware, allowing both rooms to feel personalized while still tied together by style and detailing. The biggest technical challenge came with the curved bathtub surround in the “her” bath. Building it as a series of panels that formed a continuous arc required careful planning and execution. In the end, that curved face became the standout feature of the room.
