Describe the project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
Custom full bath remodel that reflected the homeowners lifestyle and affinity for the beauty of Walnut. As a custom cabinet shop we like to say we take wood and make cabinetry, in this case we were requested to use the homeowners existing 15+ year old walnut boards. These boards were various sizes, widths, thicknesses and lengths. They required a good amount of milling to utilize. The simplicity of the design was requested by the homeowner and inspired by a furniture piece that we made for them from the same boards. Our carpenter put his artistic talents to the test as he painstakingly selected boards for glue up, and carefully cut and arranged them to maximize the beauty and grain across the vanities. The Walnut vanities were complimented by a painted maple linen cabinet with walnut top and 42” tall walnut island in their new walk in closet. The beauty of the walnut shines through the clear MagnaMax finish highlighting the beautiful purple and shades of brown in the woodgrain. Cabinetry was 100% fabricated by us. Our Face Frame Cabinetry was fabricated with 3/4” solid Walnut face frames, doors and drawer fronts. 5/8” Solid Maple dove tailed drawer boxes, 3/4” Maple Plywood case construction with ½” Walnut Skins.
