Based in Berryville, VA, Castleman Carpentry is a family-owned custom wood working cabinet shop and class A general carpenter. They specialize in total transformations in any room of a client's house through thoughtful and careful design. All aspects of their projects are managed directly by the owners. From initial consultation, through design and material selection, cabinet fabrications and project execution; they are directly involved with their client's ensuring the best remodeling experience for their customers. Their wood working shop creates truly “Custom” cabinetry. They take wood, sourced both locally and globally, and turn it into beautiful cabinet & millwork projects. They fabricate all of our cabinet boxes, face frames, doors, drawer boxes and fronts, moldings and trim.
 
Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
The challenge for this kitchen was its tiny footprint. We needed to squeeze a stylish up to date kitchen for this family of 4 into the existing space. We were able to accomplish this by reconfiguring some of the interior openings for better functionality. The new kitchen boasts a large island, separate coffee bar, all major appliances, pantry storage and we even managed a small mud room entrance. The pantry cabinet wraps the corner from the mud room to the coffee bar for maximized storage. Custom cabinets throughout in both Natural Cherry and custom Sage green. The green plays beautifully with the natural cherry. The simplicity of the door style is calming and decorated sharply with custom moldings. We grooved the island back for added texture. We are very proud of this kitchen transformation.
