Based in Loveland, CO, Colorado Cabinet Makers is a small custom cabinet shop. The owners handle the business and design while 7 talented and dedicated woodworkers make sawdust in the shop. We do most of our own installs to keep quality control of the projects. Very little is outsourced while creating a wide variety of quality residential cabinetry and millwork. 
 
Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.
This kitchen/pantry was designed and built for Barbi and Chris for their lake front home. The design was a current take on a traditional style, fitting with the stylings of this unique custom home. It was constructed of Rustic Knotty Alder, finished in a two tone finish. The Spice Stain and Black Glaze finish, couples well with the Nightfall Black Paint. The black finish has a sand through, with a burnt umber glaze. Both colors are topped with an ultra flat matte precat finish. Blum Aventos HF and HK lifts were incorporated into the upper cabinets and above the two 48” Sub Zero Wood Front Panel Refrigerators. All of the drawers feature Blum Tandem soft close under mount slides. Hafele LED lighting was included in the interiors of the mullion glass door cabinets. Hafele LOOX lighting was also installed to the under cabinet areas and under all of the toekicks. Extensive Rev-a-Shelf accessories filled all of the base cabinets and drawers. Overhead, the crown treatment incorporated a 5/4 solid display shelf around most of the kitchen with solid beadboard backing up to another inset dentil of accenting color beadboard, with a 4” cove to the ceiling. The center of the kitchen has a brick veneer barrel ceiling with arched beadboard endcaps adorned with a carved alder appliqué on each end. On each side of the 60” stove are real gas burning lamps under the wood hood surround. Both bow front islands, the primary apron sink and the main stove are bracketed by 4” turned legs. The butler’s cooking pantry is adjacent to the kitchen and is an extension in every way of the main kitchen in style and features. The integrated appliance package included 4 dishwashers, a 6’ wine chiller, built in coffee machine, ice maker, double oven, 2 sub zero fridges, a warming drawer and 2 gas ranges. Numerous carved corbels and onlay appliqués trim out the design to tie in the owners extensive collection of world wide antiques throughout the home. Countless design meetings with the owners helped us add to their personal motto for this home of “Go big…or go bigger!!”
