This asymmetrical fireplace surround in this modern home features several custom woodwork items. The continuous hearth has large drawer storage using Blum tip-on drawer hardware, finished in Blackened Oak. The wall behind the tv has custom vertical Blackened Oak slats and are intersected by the custom white oak mantel. The mantel is made from veneer, yet gives the appearance of a solid "beam" by using end-grain veneer.
