2025 Wood Diamond Award Living Spaces: Library Over $10,000 Littlebird Cabinetry Second Place

Littlebird Cabinetry builds custom residential casework and occasional furniture pieces out of their shop in Bellingham, WA. They enjoy working on projects that straddle the line between cabinetry and fine furniture, and that demand their full range of skills to produce. They started business in 2021 and focus primarily on small- to mid-sized remodels where high-end custom touches are desired.

Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

This unique second-story living/office space features luxurious walnut casework with one-of-a-kind custom elements. A large built-in bookcase sits beneath the loft, accessible by a 12' ladder featuring sculpted upper hand grips and brushed nickel accents. Under the picture window is the oversized daybed with integrated drawers, and flanked on each side by curved push-to-open inset panel doors. The curved office desktop extends away from the daybed into its own nook, with pencil and file drawers, and integrated desktop outlets and cable routing.
