Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

This kitchen has a solid, well-built feel to it, and a big part of that comes from the alder. It’s finished just enough to bring out the grain without overdoing it, which lets the wood speak for itself. The doors lean traditional with the panel detail, and you can see the extra work in the applied molding and that decorative base it gives everything more of a furniture-built look instead of just standard boxes. The island being painted adds contrast, but it still works because the tones stay warm, especially with the gold hardware tying it all together.
