Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

This kitchen anchors a new build designed to feel like an old home, drawing on the architectural traditions of nearby parks. We built inset face frame cabinetry with a soft-toned painted perimeter, paired with white oak ceiling beams and marble counters and backsplash to give the room warmth and weight. Custom appliance panels conceal the refrigerator and dishwasher, allowing them to disappear into the overall aesthetic and keeping the elevations clean and architectural. A custom paneled hood reinforces the same approach, letting the materials and millwork do the work. The standout feature is a built-in coffee hutch finished in deep navy, set into its own architectural surround with glass-door display cabinets flanking a center bar. A vertical-paneled backboard, open shelving, marble backsplash, and brass picture light turn a daily ritual into a focal point. A small, complete room within the larger kitchen.
