Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

This kitchen anchors a modern home where the architecture leans into clean horizontal lines and a restrained material palette. The cabinetry is built entirely from walnut with blueprint matched veneer, allowing the grain to flow continuously across the doors, drawer fronts, and tall panels for a single, unified composition. We used slab doors throughout to keep the elevations quiet and let the veneer figuring carry the visual weight. The full-height back wall integrates the refrigerator behind a matching panel, so the appliance disappears into the run and the millwork reads as one continuous architectural element. A central niche of floating walnut shelves set against a fluted backsplash provides the room's contrast moment, breaking up the dark cabinetry with light, texture, and a place for the homeowners to layer in personal pieces. The island carries the same walnut and slab door treatment, topped with a dramatic vein-cut stone counter that grounds the room and reinforces the modern, gallery-like feel of the space.
