Founded in 2016, William's Handcrafted is a luxury custom cabinet shop in Richmond, VA. Our team of 4 produces exceptional casework for discerning clients. We design, build, finish and install most of our own work. While we will work with contractors and designers, most of our business is direct to consumer. Most of our projects involve cabinets and another trade like electrical, plumbing, countertops, etc. As a licensed contractor, we are one of the only firms in the area that can provide a one stop solution of our clients cabinetry and remodeling projects. 

Describe your project, what makes it unusual, and/or any outstanding characteristics.

This bright laundry room proved to be very versatile for our clients. The far end of the room is the primary laundry. The stacked washer and dryer are shouldered by a full height custom slide out made by our talented team. The new millwork is offset by a traditional clothes rack the client sourced from a local antique store. One of the unique aspects in this project was our clients height. At less than 5 feet tall, our client needed lower than typical countertops. The floating white oak shelves tie into the bench top as well as millwork details in other parts of the home. Despite being only 8' wide, we were able to maximize storage space with hanging lockers across from the sink and nice bench with shoe storage by the doors. The most challenging part of this project was the herringbone brick floor. All of our cabinets and toe kicks get scribed to the floor and this proved especially challenging under the bench seat with shared partitions.
